The hardware store will not duplicate the car key for our Nissan Sentra becasue the plactic part has some a security device in it preventing duplication. What the fuck is this about! I just want a duplicate of my key!!
What is the work around on this?!?!? Don't tell me I need to talk to the jackass at the dealership either. |

I have an Isuzu Rodeo I bought for my ex. She lost her key and I had to get a new one. $300+ for the plastic housing w/buttons and metal blank with the chip in it. I could have a key cut but the ignition will not engage without that chip. The chip comes with the blank, but still has to be programmed at the dealership.
Total racket but it makes it super hard to steal my total piece of shit Rodeo. |

| just yesterday my friend locked both sets of his keys in his Chrysler mini van. his roommate opened the locked door with a GM key. |
