So that G4 has been kinda wonky. I got a torrent of Photoshop that worked fine for 3 weeks. Then when I went to fire it up it launched about half way then stopped.

Toast won't let me burn a data disk. When I click on the data disk option the app shuts down.

3 days ago I started getting the same Photoshop problem with Final Cut. I click to launch the app, it gets about half-way loaded up and then stops loading, shutting down the launch window.

Anyone know what is going on?

First, install this:
http://www.osxbook.com/software/fslogger/

Then open a terminal. Then do like this:

prompt$ sudo su -
<enter your password>. The prompt should now look like this:
prompt#
now do:
prompt# cd /path/to/fslogger >adobe.txt 2>&1

Launch your adobe app.
When it fails, go back to the terminal and press ctrl-C to stop fslogger.
Email me the adobe.txt file.
Wait.

my mac is set up with no password

Macintosh:~ hanklankson$ /Volumes/FSLogger-1.1/fslogger; exit
You must be root to run fslogger. Try again using 'sudo'.
logout

Your account needs to have a password to use sudo. Give the account a temporary password and revisit my instructions.

Or let me know when I can come over.

I can't get that logger thing to work. I'll call you this weekend about making a service call.
