sweet, the red dawn remake is gonna be about the chinese invading america! something about the chinese starting revolutions in south america and mexico. wonder what the opening scene will be, chinese paratroopers just doesn't seem as menacing as ruskies. unless they resort to some russian/chinese alliance.

I've gotten some behind-the-scenes photos from the set in Detroit from some friend working that show. Looks cool.

I bought a dvd of The Day After about 2 years ago. Its cheesey as all getout and I really don't see what all the hubub was about when it was shown on tv.

Red Dawn is just plain stupid, but holds the title of being hte first movie released with a PG-13 rating.

I was unaware of this. I thought that Raiders/or Temple of Doom was the first PG13. I though it had something to do with The Indiana Jones series having to end up changing the rating system all together. That rating system is seriously flawed. Top Gun for example could have easily been rated PG 13, and Schindler's List could have been PG. But whatever, It doesn't really affect me and my dismal life.
Red Dawn is far superior by the way.

my main disappointments with red dawn is how there was nothing on the other events that happened at all. no news reports of the cuban/nicaraguan/mexican rush of the southern border, the passenger airline bombers from cuba, or the nukes exploding along the east coast. hopefully the new one will expand on this.
