I thought it was something like Cedar or something?!?!? Anyone remember/know? He went around Uptown showing a lot of people the bones..

I'm wondering if he's still in prison.

Quote:
Francis Wilson Minneapolis January 13, 1993
Francis was found strangled in her apartment. Her great-nephew, Cedar Mountain Monahan, 19, told police that he strangled her and punched and stomped on her head in a fit of anger. He was charged with second-degree murder.

I knew him. I never saw him with bones though.

I've seen him both before and after he flipped out. I think he was either bi-polar or had schizophrenia. He definitely had some sort of mental disorder.

PS- you mentioned this before, 10 years ago:

I remember back in the 80's in Uptown this punk guy (cedar m?) dug up some bones from a cemetary and showed well over one hundred punks in Uptown the remains that he had stashed in his backpack. Not one person told the authorities. I guess the bones/remains he dug up were from some kid who came up missing and was found in the river or dam somewhere. Sad that someone can do something reprehensible and no one will say a word.

Thanks for pointing out my repetition.. Mind is going....
I don't know where I got the bones story then...

Matrix!!!!

Is he still in prison? I would believe so, but have not found him in various inmate finder sites...

The only other state I knew he spent time in was California. Not sure if he ever spent significant time there or just did the summer thing.

Looks like he lived on 25 & Emerson s for a few months in '97, so that would answer the incarceration question.

I didn't see anything about him in any obituaries...

Possible name change? The dude is "off the grid".

You are thinking of Crowboy and Bradley (not sure of their full names).
They were punk kids that hung out at the Hard Times Cafe I think.
Lovely fellows I'm sure.

If I remember correctly, they lived at the Podany building on 27th & Lake.
Apparently, they did a lot of drugs and stole a young kids corpse from a mausoleum at Lakewood Cemetery.
They shoved it into duffel bag or something and hopped on the 21a bus with it.

After cutting him up and playing with his parts, they even pranked some guy who worked at the Seward Cafe by putting the kids hand into a to-go container and leaving it for him.
When they dumped the remains in the river and it was found, people thought that maybe it was Jacob Wetterling.
It was all over the news for a bit because of that.

And yeah, none of the other creepy punks there saw anything wrong with these guys having a corpse that they were playing around with. City Pages had a big spread on it way back in the day.

The messed up thing was that there was no law against what they did.
They both had rich families that got them fancy lawyers so they ended up getting charged with a misdemeanor or something for stealing a ring off of the kids finger and had to pay a small fine and didn't go to jail at all.

What year/timeframe are we talking?

I don't recall a "Crowboy" from uptown, westbank or anywhere else for that matter, though I spend relatively little time in westbank because it sucked.

Thanks for the info. uratoolkm, I knew I wasn't crazy. I remember hearing about them showing people in Uptown (supposedly a lot of people), and not one person said shit...

Would love to find the CityPages article...

I'm thinking this was late 89?!!?

I don't know, you haven't confessed your age. I'm just going to assume I'm the youngest one here. You two may be the same age though.
