I was gonna go, but decided against it. I'm glad.

To me, radio makes an artist, but kills the true fans. A friend of mine, who's on tcpunk went and wrote me an e-mail about how I was right not to attend. Said it was a bunch of snotty, frat-boy, pretty girl tards who all held up their cameraphones the entire time. She was also accosted by some bitch for "standing in front of her boyfriend".

I still enjoy Matisyahu, but it's disheartening.

...and about whomever said "do you enjoy him for novelty"? The answer is no. I thouroughly enjoy the live c.d. and am still waiting on the new c.d. I could give a rats-ass what he looks like or what religion he follows. To call his stuff mediocre is a shame in my opinion. I think his writing is pretty damn good and his delivery is tight.

that's all.

bye.

I did not see a cat bouncing a pink ball, and did not know what else to look for.

I did, however, see the WHITEST REGGAE CROWD, EVER. (It was also the only reggae crowd I've seen, actually.)

However, the complainers are weak. It only took me three beers and a smoke interlude to get my mind past the crowd, and get into the music - which was pretty good.

It had to be, because the crowd, in addition to being the whitest, were also mostly Show Retards who did not understand how crowded shows work, and were on the verge of melting down every time someone bumped them or "budded" in front of them. Yes, they did call it "budding."

(Incidentally, the last time I heard that word used, it was at a Cinderella show and shortly thereafter my friend was getting some kind of halfhearted sneaker-party put upon him by a bunch of 30 or 40 something mustaches.)

But I had a good time. I just had to work at it a bit at first.

Good thing you are a pasty underground dweller. Fit right in and all that.

I thought about going to this for about .1 seconds. And then realized I had to do something else more smokey and with less sleeping. So was the crowd like, college hippy? I don't really get it.

I bought this album (or the most recent one, anyways) for $3.99 in mint condition today, as it sounds oddball enough to hold my interest for more than 60 seconds. However, I have not listened to it yet. Its all over the music papers enough that generally I would dismiss it as another sold fad, except it has appeared here, and no one has had anything too negatiive to say about it.

I'll listen to it tomorrow. And if I don't like it and you do, you'll find a copy at the Shingle Creek Blvd exit from 694 at about 11am.

It's a live album with good production values and a great backing band. I would enjoy this better on a boat with a pina colada in hand. It's good.

First impression: New CD makes me embarrassed to have admitted liking this.

Not sure what it is, but everything good I liked about the previous 2 works seems to be gone. The production is cheesy and goes poorly with the authentic, heartfelt vibe thing. The songs are just sucky, except for the retakes of a couple older ones.

Makes me think the label wanted to hurry up and cash in on his rising star, and quickly forced out this turd (promoting it as his "debut studio album," even though it ain't.)

Best way to explain this album may be: it makes perfect sense of the crowd at the show. (No Rayna, not college hippy - just ... college. College whitebread.) This album is music for them.

It will probably get huge.

Yes, the new c.d. is absolutely horrible.

2 decent songs, the rest of the album sounds extremely overproduced and I keep thinking Beyonce' is gonna make a guest appearance singing.
