| I am glad I saw them recently. They were a band that really grew on me, as soon as I really start liking them a lot they go kaput! Sucky. Their new album really kicks ass. |

Too bad about Sicbay - I like them. Greg is such a great drummer - I hope he starts up something new. |

I didn't think of the article as a shot at the Stnng. I see a lot of bands that fall into that catagory - perhaps the Stnnng does too. But Sicbay's musicianship is top-notch and I think that was the point.
I may have to retract my statement about getting voted best band being a correlation since I thought of several that are still around (including the Stnnng). However, I am guessing that this was not planned for Sicbay since they had shows booked in the future that are now being cancelled. I hate it when that happens. It is like a divorce. But this is all speculation. I have just seen it happen with so many great bands that I am guessing this may be what happened.
I am happy that they had a good run while they were around. I am already curious what their next projects will be. |

Seems your act is getting tired. Try making some sounds that people want to hear once. Incessant squealing guitars with a dude that appears mildly retarded droning on an on over the top gets old... fast. Tell me more about what pets other continents look like.

Same old, please take this somewhere else. As anyone could plainly see, the guys in STNNNG are really good friends of ours and there's no need for you to denegrate them once again. Its beyond childish now, but then again, your avatar is K9.
Back to the subject, if anyone wants to know, we had been planning to end the band for about a month now, so long before the City Pages thing (which was completely by surprise, so I can attest that no one campaigns for this sort of thing nor is it some clandestine hipster cabal that decides these things), and its completely amicable. My two bandmates are some of my best friends in the world and will remain so.

We broke up because 7 years is long enough. It's time to move on.
We recorded plenty of stuff http://www.sicbay.com/releases.html and we didn't feel like there was any more to say, I guess.
Final shows are lame. If you were there last week at the Triple Rock, you saw the last show.
