since it seems that i am forever and always telling people what it is that they should/could be doing with their life, i figured why not do an advice column for the webzine.
seriously, what with 3 marrigage/divorces, 3 kids, a job where i have to keep a straight face while seriously/professionally answering bizzare/personal questions, that and being among the group of older ones here, i think i may be quite qualified to do this.
this will only work, though, if some of you send me letters, via email, to answer. come on, honey, it'll be fun, no really, it will, you'll see, just try it, would i lie? no, no, seriously, it'll be fun, just relax and stop fighting, you know you want to. see? was that so bad?

So, would you be giving out good advice?

fair enough question.
i'm assuming you are asking if i will be taking the questions seriously, and for the most part, i'd have to say yes.

You have been married three times? All I've ever heard about is the gay Dad. Oops, sorry to get personal. Yes I think you would be great at doing an advice column. I think this should happen.

What about Ask Dr. Daego & The Royal Crown Revue? That shit was hysterical. They delete it already? All the advice you need: stop eating twinkies and get on a treadmill you disgusting tub of lard.

M.C. gives great advice. She has the perfect mix of compassion and objectivity.

Real advice and problems, tho.

Man, sometimes I read Dear whoever and I just gotta wonder "Did you read what you wrote before you decided to waste postage on it?" Sometimes the answers are so obvious; eg. "should I try to stay with my boyfriend/fiance who says he never wants kids and change his mind over time". Egads!!! Or, " my boyfriend just dumped me because he wants to concentrate on his career. Should I try to get him back?" Move on with your lives and stop being afraid to be alone for awhile. Maybe you might learn something about yourself in the process.
