Just ask former Republican Senator Arlen Specter (D-PA).

Like rats fleeing a sinking ship. What a bunch of losers.

Poll: Majority unsure who speaks for the GOP
Posted: 09:54 AM ET

WASHINGTON (CNN) – As the Republican Party struggles to regain its footing following the November elections, a new survey shows that a majority of adult Americans sees no clear leader for the minority political party.

Even more problematic for the GOP is that one-third of Republicans hold an unfavorable view of their party, according to the USA Today/Gallup poll.

When it comes to naming a “main person” who speaks for the GOP, 52 percent of Americans were unable to do so.

Among those who did name a speaker for the GOP, 13 percent identified conservative talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh, while 10 percent named former Vice President Dick Cheney. Arizona Sen. John McCain and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich were each named by 6 percent of Americans in the poll.

Just 3 percent said former President George W. Bush is currently the most prominent Republican speaker, while Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, and House Minority Leader John Boehner were each named by 1 percent of participants in the survey.

“These numbers are troubling for Republicans, who are engaged in a civil war right over the ideological direction of the party,” said CNN Political Editor Mark Preston. “When one-third of Republicans hold an unfavorable view of the party, it makes it difficult to establish a united front to promote GOP policies at the same time opposing President Obama’s agenda.”

A third of Republicans in the poll said the GOP should not moderate its policies in its quest to regain power.

The poll surveyed 1,015 adults on May 29-31 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.

What a pathetic joke of a "party." Losers.

Wash DC- (Updated 6/1/11) An unnamed GOP source said Tuesday that the Republican Party must get back to its roots and "get happy." Asked to elaborate, the source said, "We have to get back to doing what we do best - shooting doctors who perform late- term abortions, executing criminals, protecting the right to own assault rifles, creating more tax breaks for the wealthy, demanding the right to pray to a (Christian) God in public schools, stealing the natural resources of 3rd World countries and bombing them back to the Stone Age if they put up a fight, no gays in the military and no gay marriage - all with a big GOP smile plastered on our faces."
The source was asked to handicap the 2012 Presidential Field:
Sarah Palin - I like her. She's sexy, she's got balls, she's got a great smile and a perfect "aw shucks" attitude. And coming from Alaska, she has the foreign policy experience to deal with the Russians. And she's got a vagina, which 52% of all Americans share. Palin is the cream of the crop right now. Update: Raising tons of $. Rode a motorcycle to secure the vital Hell's Angels vote.
Mike Huckabee - The rising star of the Christian Right. May start "speaking in tongues" on the campaign trail, which could put off some moderate Republicans. Update: God told him not to run.
Bobby Jindal - Are you serious? He's darker than Obama! Totally unelectable. Update: A coalition of important Hindu Gods told him not to run.
Mitt Romney - would be perfect if he'd lose the silly first name and divorced at least half of his wives. Update: Secretly fuming he's not married to Sarah Palin and/or Michele Bachmann.
Tim Pawlently - while I like the fact he didn't raise taxes after that bridge fell into the Mississippi River, he looks like a deer in the headlights. A Boy Scout. A sniveling worm, as it were. His wife is smoking hot, though. Update: Having traction problems. May have to ask God for help.
Michelle Bachmann - would make a great VP pick on a Palin ticket. She's got a crazed attack dog look in her eye that would make the Democrats' knees buckle, because as we know to be a Democrat, you have to a pussy, black, gay or an illegal immigrant. Plus, she also has a vagina, so between her vagina and Palin's vagina that would be something that 104% of all Americans share.
(Update)Donald Trump: threw his rug into the ring and quickly slapped it back on his head when he realized he couldn't fire Obama on Celebrity Apprentice.

I'm really concerned about Nancy Reagan's appearance on "Diff'rent Strokes" to promote the "Say No To Drugs" campaign. It seems Hollywood is getting too political and is now in bed with the Reagan administration.

She can't be elected to anything. She's not a US citizen.

That's Obama you're thinking of, and he's not a natural born citizen.
How can a natural born citizen be governed under the British Nationality Act of 1948?

No, she can't, because she's not a US citizen. I know because a heroin addict on the radio said, so it's true.

What about the Florence Henderson Wessonality Act of 1977?

No answer for that, huh?

The prosecution rests.

No, wait,

That's the name of that tune.
