I cannot tell a lie: these are some sweet ass fuckin shots, and shots I've never seen until today-

Code:
http://www.cysewski.com/minstpaul/index.html

His domain expires in Jan 12 (plus he's really old) so you may care to download some of your favorites shots... in case... you know...

C'mon, this thread needs contributions.

The Saddle Bar

This is before my memory spans back, but apparently it was attached to the Lumber Exchange Building, just across the street from the 90's:

Teeners! And check it out- "Grease" was playing at the Skyway:

I'm guessing this was where the Target Center is now, 9th and Glenwood:

Some things just don't need an explanation:

Great find. Thanks. I like some of the shots with people. The old man walking by the 90s is cool, and of course the woman's back side is good. Dirty old man. Laughing

Here's a rare goody, albeit from the 80's:

Great photos... I can't figure out the movie on the bottom(under Grease) ... The top one looks like Damien: Omen II..

The red limos (M.T.C.'s) remind me of when I would ride them with my mom to the "big city"...

I think my dad would frequent some of those bars. He'd take us with and we got to stay in the car and get fed treats intermittently throughout the night....
Thanks for sharing. It's a shame that a lot of those old buildings were demolished...

Could some of those first hotel pics on the site be the Hotel Leamington?

Damien Omen II / Grease / Capricorn One - I saw all of those films at the Skyway during that time.

Here's a semi-related film I found called Skidrow:

http://www.mnvideovault.org/index.php?id=16333&select_index=0&popup=yes

Quote:
Original Broadcast Date: 9/21/1998
John Bacich's camera captures the drinking, poverty, violence and camaraderie on skid row. His narration and images reveal the human faces behind what was a largely unseen element of society, while also giving today's audiences a fascinating, unglamorous look at the Twin Cities of yesteryear.
