my husband and I are looking for a place to rent on June 1st and here is our criteria:

we have a 50lb 10 yr old spayed husky who is quiet, well trained, polite, good with children and other dogs, never chews never destroys. crate and potty trained fully. and a 12 yr old spayed tabby cat who never destroys and is indoor only and quiet. both pets are insured. As a dog handler/trainer I pride myself on how well behaved my pets are, and even had compliments from previous landlords.

looking for 1 - 2 bedroom with a max rent of $950, or a 3 bedroom with a max rent of $1300 where we would have a roommate with us.

Areas of interest are uptown, south mpls, ne mpls and n mpls and considering areas in st. louis park and edina and richfield.

we both work and husband is also a student and we both drive.

getting very close to that date so we're in a bit of a panic! yikes!
thanks guys!

Eyes open, I see a few For rent signs in Robbinsdale. I can check rent total/dogs.

Try the Loring Park area and also Steven Square. I still think it's reasonably decent over there.

I'll check Loring, but so far everything in Stevens is No dogs or only tiny dogs. I can't believe how crazy hard it is to rent with a medium size dog!

Isn't there some sort of housing/renting for students at the U of M? Assuming your husband goes to the U. I'm sure the Universities have stuff available to look at.
Try the Prospect Park area, lots of big apartments and students galore. Usually respectable students for the most part. Old hippies and progressives/gaybors and no ghetto.
