The "qualified" bar has been set pretty fucking low.
(N.B. He's aiming higher than state senate.)

I think that is up to the voter to decide. IMO he has some good "real world" experience & some passion, more than Dayton had.

But I would also like to see him prove himself to some extent. He should have started out smaller, like the state senate or mayor. (like Jesse V. did).
Can he win? It's possible, but being funny & cute will get him only so far. He will also have to face off with real questions someday, not just softies from Larry King.

Well, wrong verbage.
I think he should don the Stuart Smally outfit and address the public in front of a mirror.

As much as I like Al Franken, and feel he's got a boatload more integrity than Norm Coleman, I believe that serious times call for a serious statesmen.

In my perfect world, Alan Page would go up against Norm Coleman.

Mike Cerisi was at the Alan Page fund raiser a few weeks ago.
I believe he's going to make another run.

Alan Page should run for Senate. I'd vote for him. I won't vote for Franken.

Al Franken is really, really, really smart. I don't know that I'd vote for him, but he's the real deal.

Franken is pretty damn serious when it comes to issues. He's more serious than Limbaugh is when he talks about things. He might throw in a joke or two here and there (every politician does), but the way he handles himself is far more serious than I would have ever expected him to be. This isn't Franken in a bad SNL skit, this is Franken the Statesman. And he doesn't take it lightly.

So over night, after announcing his run for senate & puts his hand out for $, he is now serious? Mby he should have been a lil more serious about saving the failed radio show he was on.

Bringing up a politician's previous business failures while trumpeting the virtues of President Bush is probably not your best argument, fisty.

W is a proven winner. Cool

Al is a talented comedian, & I think he has a right to run for prez, like any American. But he will need more than Bushate to win my vote over, he seems kinda negative.

I am not a fan of Klobuchar, but the alternative was this dirty campaign clown:

Klobuchar was also county attorney for a couple of terms, so she at least has some good law credentials to her name.
