Oops, I forgot how easily offended some people on a punk rock message board can be.
And for good reason - I've seen what some of 'em end up going home with.

"File under: Too Much Information" is at best, a tired cliche, used primarily by those who can't stand to look life in the eye. Not me, man. Bring it on!!

If the mental image of your sexual satisfaction is "looking life in the eye," then may the Good Lord strike me blind.

I can't take any responsibility for whatever naughty mental images you children are subjecting yourselves to. Sounds like Joe 4.0 hit it on the head about the doctorate having some adverse effects. You know what they say, about all work and no play, don't you?

No apology needed Joe 4.0. The IP used was banned by me. The username Joe 3.0 was turned off. The IP is now good and I can turn on Joe 3.0 if you wish.

Here's the deal:

- If you post personal information or photos of another user without the consent of that user you will be banned and the IP used will be blocked.

I'm working with Yuck on agreed RULES to post, but the stuff above will get you kicked by me.

I was just looking for a topic around here that said something like this. Is all that stuff in the shitbag said with consent? (as in naming b----- p------?) anyway, I guess I am annoyed cause RWC is using all the really good sexist homophobic jokes up. For some reason half of the new posts are just RWC and whoever discussing if so and so is more gay cause they hate gays or if so and so is more gay because they are liberal. or something. But naming names I thought was a no-no. And even if that is the INCORRECT name, it is still an attempt to try to post somebody's real name.... poor manners at best.

Pretty tough talk huh? The sad truth is that banning a users IP on a public forum will only stop the people who don't know how to get around it. With that being said, I still have 1 option to use before turning the whole board private.

We've been pretty damn lucky for the last 5 years, for the most part we haven't had to do much.

Option 1: new user registration must be activated by the Admins.

That seems to be standard practice with other message boards I've been on. In fact, I think this may be the only board I've joined that it hasn't been the case. It doesn't cut out the troll factor completely, but it helps lots, and if you do need to ban someone it makes it more difficult for them to re-register. It might be a bigger pain for youse guys, but it would probably spare everyone some anguish.
