Dunno how long Netflix has had this feature, but I just discoverd that one membership can have multiple sub-accounts. Now I can setup a queue for me wife and one for meself. If I return a movie from my queue Netflix sends the next in line from my queue. Very much liking that feature.

that's kinda cool.

Their "watch now" feature does not work with my system,
since i refuse to use MS Internet Explorer.

I like the click-n-drag queue feature....much easier than the
renumbering system.

I don't use these rent-a-movie features. . .I always buy crap, but am considering starting a service.

As far as I can tell, the blockbuster service seems to work better and is cheaper than netflix. Yes?

So I have been getting some obscure movies from Netflix for the last 6 months or so. I will get them and scan through them on the day of receiving. If it looks like something I want I will watch it that night in full or rip it to watch at a later date. Regardless, I send the movie back within 2 days of receipt. What I've noticed lately is that the majority of what I want is "not at your local distribution center" and takes a week to get rather than 2 days. Maybe I'm just getting obscure stuff (Werewolves On Wheels, The UK Subs Live, old film noir titles) but it seems to me they don't like the fact that I am getting about 5 movies a month.

If you are turning around movies too fast, they will start to delay your deliveries.

I've had a 4th generation dub of Werewolves on Wheels for years, and actually is one of the reasons I signed up with Netflix. Back in the mid-90's I started collecting late 60's/early 70's biker movies. At that time all one could hope for was a multi-generation VHS dub made from a tv broadcast in the early 80's. With the advent of the DVD market alot of those titles have now been made available at a slightly improved quality.

Werewolves On Wheels is truly bad, in that a gang of slimy bikers gets attacked by the wolfman and all become werewolves. On wheels. It's not good.

This is simply NOT TRUE!

'Werewolves on Wheels" is a good movie. Just ask Max Action.

I tried the Netflix movie streaming for the first time last night. Quality is on par with standard def DVD's. The only downsides I could see was the lack of chapters, a limited (but eclectic) selection, and the plugin will not work with Firefox. I'm not sure how often I'll use it, but it's a nice option to have.

I just jumped on the netflix bandwagon today.

I decided to after seeing their wonderful selection of blu-ray dvds.

'300' is first in my queue. I think this movie's gonna really pop in hi-def! I'm excited. Smile

I just started Netflix last month and was annoyed to find out that you can only have 500 movies in your queue. You can save for later movies that aren't on dvd yet (like Persepolis) later in a separate list.

No, I am suddenly single and total introvert! I started adding samurai movies and didn't notice I filled it up for sometime. I know I won't watch 500 for a long time but, I thought it could at least hold a gigantor amount of movies I want to see.

We had it for awhile. I liked it except for two small things:
1. I'd never rent $20 worth of movies every month.
2. Each disc counts as a rental, so if you want to rent something that comes with two discs, you have to use up two, uh, rental-thingys. I just got the Criterion edition of Down By Law, disc one only. I want disc 2 now!

1. Two freakin' movies at a horrible joint like Blockheadbuster will run you ten bucks these days. Damn old thread.
2. Down by Law has a 2 disk set? That's a great f'n movie! Been a while! Jim Jarmouch, right?
3. I don't get it. Why don't you just download a torrent for free?
