No- he's a white guy who went to school to be a graphic artist and just didn't have the heart to commit to such a structured life. So he became a tattoo artist. HE even got the respect of the Japanese artists, which back in the seventies I guess was a very big thing.
Guy does neat stuff with rope too. Hard to explain. I'll look around for it. |

I have no pictures of my original ink, I think. Picture Dave Navarro's arms but maybe slightly better. Friend's used to refer to the skull on my left bicep as "the E.T. skull" or "the light bulb". It was all needle and thread work- not super artistic. I have a good head of hair and a lot of cover work.
These are from a couple years back, I guess. I lose track. Before last summer, I do believe. The guy doing the work is Rockwood (he does stuff for me). He lives here but grew up in pedro and had a place in Hollywod during the late seventies and eighties and did a lot of glammy type rocker's work (those gunny roses and the stray cats and stuff...) Oddly enough, he recognized a really mundane piece of work on my shoulder and it turns out the guy who did the work (when I was seventeen, 20 years back- col. W.L. Todd) was his uncle. Small world.
I don't really have many pictures of myself. My daughter was taking modeling classes and would let me shoot tons of cool pics of her and I dug shooting film so we have a lot of her.
This one she took of me when we were in BoraBora, around 2001. Turnabout is fair play.
I think that's pretty much all the pictures I have with me and tattoos. Cest la vie! |

She's totally more grown up now- total hyperdrive. I guess that happens around 17. Or thirteen. Or for me- like 39. Or something.
Somewhere I have some prints of her sitting on the couch with the mirror on the table in front of her. Cool stuff. We've always liked playing with mirrors and water for the reflection dealio. Cheap tricks- good fun. |

Can you just walk in and get something tattooed on your face like that, or do you have to sign a waiver or have a waiting period or something?
Cuz'... not to be judgmental or anything, but I have to wonder if there might not be a tinge of regret when you go in to a job interview with "Psycho" or "Fuck You" tattooed on your forehead. |
