What are people's thoughts on his new CD? It doesn't suck nearly as much as I'd imagined....

haha yeah just borrowed it from a guy at work...it's okay. the pop punky Gen-X type songs are pretty decent...the one about Santa Claus screwing Billy's mom on Xmas cuz his dad was passed out drunk is pretty funny.

I'll agree with that. Definitely better than the crap he put out on that "Cyberpunk" album a while back....

I like it better than most of the stuff he has put out in the past....it also grows on you the more you listen to it. Out here in L.A., the independent station has been playing the fuck out of it...cd in its entirety and a few radio promos with Mr. Idol.

Just like there are "desert island" items, I have "load onto a rocketship and shoot into the sun" items. Two of those items are Billy Idol's "White Wedding" and "Rebel Yell".

He's so old that his shit is probably rock.

I kid. Billy Idol rules. He could show most 40+ rockstars how to put on a performance.

I tried to download it from a site to check it out, but it was corrupted. Its good to hear that he has returned to a Gen X style of material on some things. I loved Gen X, guess I'll take the plunge and buy it.

I did download it, but deleted it before listening to it because I heard so many bad reviews of it. Kinda wishing I wouldn't have now.

I downloaded them too. Haven't listened to them yet. Now I've got a mission. Been a Bone Idle fan from way back, but the last couple of records (assuming Charmed Life as the last) were not much at all. To be honest, I'm surprised the guy can still form sentences.

Yes you caught me. I'm a human sponge, whose opinion is changed by the person standing next to me at the time. I have no real opinions on anything. Rolling Eyes
