This season's been great for mountain biking. One of my passions for sure. Anyway, I've been unable to locate some kind of map showing all the various trails that loop and zig zag and run amok around the metro area. I know of the luce line, the greenway, mill district, historic fort snelling trails, etc. but it'd be nice to have a freaking map of some sorts, and maybe by all tokens, i'm a little dense or somethin', but I can't seem to locate one. Any help? Damn, i'm full of inquiries today. Any TCPUNK bicyclists out there?

There's one that goes from Uptown to the Triple Rock, it's called the Rainbow Line.I'm not sure that it goes back, but I know it hurt in the morning. Wink

Crips I hope not!

I don't understand the peops that do - they look awfully silly. But I guess they probably think we do too. Idea

Why the hell would anyone want to wear spandex unless they were racing? I dunno, but when I go on a bicycle ride I don't like to be decked out in spandex. Riding in a skirt feels way better anyway!

Mmmm, breezy. I don't have any skirts that fit anymore. Embarassed

I've been riding the Mn river bottoms at least once a week this summer. Just keep going south on Lyndale until you hit the river, then find a trail going right or left. West of the river, it's mostly flat singletrack. East it's sandier, rockier and hillier. Wirth park just north of 394 is open again for mountain bikes. It used to be good riding there, back in the '80s. I don't know what it's like today.

look here for the Minneapolis bike plan and other infromation.

There's also this site and this one

It's not Spandex, it's Lycra. Rolling Eyes

I wear a loud and crazy lycra jersey on my commute cuz it wicks away the sweat and makes for a more comfortable ride. The jersey flaps less as well.

I wear lycra under-shorts with a chamois (shammy) for support and comfort. I keep it real with Dickies cutoffs over those.

On any other ride it's anyone of my Holding On t-shirts or any other sweet band shirts.

The best "kits" (similiar jersey and shorts/bibs) are the ones from teams who have been proven guilty of doping.

There are also plenty of really cool wool alternatives.

And you're getting younger?

I can also say "back in the '60s" if that bothers you even more.
