Permit? What the fuck? Build a car. Find a hill. Have a derby. I saw a news story about a group in Frisco, I think, who have a no rules, cheatin' encouraged derby every year. People were building kick-ass James Bond style devices in their derby cars to smash up their opponent's cars. IP: Logged |

A roomate and a friend built a car and raced for a couple-a years, I provided their dashboard. It came from a old piece of NAVY electronics which had switchs and dials that said goofy stuff like Mad Control, Sad Control, Inhibit Threashold.
Its hysterical to watch, they run many heats thru-out the afternoon and many of the cars are simpley absurd. The San Francisco Illegal Soap Box Society (SFISBS) have been at it for almost ten years now. "Our only rule is that you have to have a beer holder in your car."

When should it be done? How many people gonna do it? It will probably have to be in a month or so-before the snow flies-enough time to build some cars. I'm gonna start building my car this weekend. Lets race and drink beer and crash and burn rubber.IP: Logged |
