AF: you’re all stuck up! i'll get you all back with the help of my boyfriend i got crabs! we'll start pointless threads about poop and pee (hee hee! poop and pee!) to piss you off and make you all mad! Asst. TCPunker: That doesn't make anyone mad, it's just a nuisance. AF: no, it will make you mad! i'll drop names! you'll be so mad you'll hate us and quit the board! Asst. How come it is that the one named Albert Fish does not give us an email to communicate with him? I have a serious question about the spawning season of Salmon and yet I cannot email the said fish. As far as the one with crabs, I do not, nor have I ever, liked crustations.IP: Logged |

I think those guys are pretty funny. Besides, all the poop and pee-pee threads are (usually) started in the shit-bag. Their posts shouldn't be a nuissance, if you see their names just skip the post. Sometimes their off the wall-ness is a needed change from some of the seriousness here. I don't even know these guys, but I like some of their posts and don't find them annoying.IP: Logged |

Maybe lately. So what?Consider the fact that this bulletin board's administration has had to do all sorts of extra work, such as creating a "shitbag" as a result of three individuals. Countless re-registrations under all sorts of silly names, multiple posts with the intent of simply trying to rack up their amount of posts, making people wade through an absurd amount of "today's active topics" with such brilliantly funny subjects as "my 100 post party" and other gems. And the fact that they delighted in the extra work they were loading on the admins, let's not forget that. The above primer is exactly that -- I think it accurately portrays the seafood's mindset and intentions with regard to fucking with this board just because Albert got all prickly for not being welcomed here with open arms. Define to me the purpose of this board Tinman.
To me the purpose of this board is a chance for a bunch of bored people (who, in general have similar interests) to fuck around and waste time. You know if any of us had anything better (which is pretty much anything) going on we wouldn't be here. Isn't worthwile stuff just a matter of opinion? Any time you have a loosely knit group such as this with (what must be) nearly 1000 members many of the topics will be uninteresting to many of the people. I probably skip over more than half of the topics in the NOW Bands section, because I'm usually uninterested.
Talking about worthwhile stuff here's 5 threads within the top ten in Now General Hangout. If you classify these as being really worthwhile stuff then every thing I have just said will be totally meaningless to you.

That is definately uncool. I was mildly annoyed by their silly post-increasing game and their clogging of the board with stupid ass threads, but I was new here at the time and knew nothing about the board and the people involved. I can understand an administrator's (that's you, zom, right?haha) frustration with that. However, I don't find them quite as witless and annoying as some folks do(though I'm not really into the scat humor, mind you), and I'm quite looking forward to the soapbox derby that our own bug-infested shitbagger is supposed to be organizing. Dammit. I really should start proofreading these before I hit "submit".

Slojo, those threads may not have floated your boat (and i will happily admit to starting some useless and goffy shit myself) but you should notice that more than one person is responding to them. Ergo they are of mutual interest and entertaining. This help keep the more "functional" parts of the board (band info, etc.) usefull as it keeps people bouncing around here. Who would want to spend all day reading a site that was solely comprised of "hey, i'm in a band, here's where we're playing at....."This is not to be confused With Fish/crabs and Santa's Useless Munchkin starting 3 pages (at a time) worth of poop threads and being the only ones to respond, usually only once or twice, to their own brainless crap just to raise their number of posts.
