If you dig MAD you might like this story about the FBI files kept on it between the 50's and 70's. It's short but kind of interesting.

thank you slojo, this article is great. my parents got me a subscription at the age of 12 and i think i got it until i left for college. nowadays it's not too interesting, and i can't stand the fact they started accepting ads.
still, i think the spirit lives on, especially in the form of the onion. i wanted to post the recent article "Mad Reporter Found Dead in Blecchistan" or something like that but they seem to have taken it offline.
