I recently bought an IBM Laptop computer through my uncle who is a computer engineer for IBM. It's on it's way to my house as we speak. The problem is, is that I need to get everything set up for it on my own due to me getting it at production cost (I saved a little over $600!!)
I'm not sure if it comes with instructions or what but I know I'm on my own as far as getting it set up on the internet. Can anyone that's familiar with IBM help me out? Can anyone hook me up with some cool programs? What's the absolute cheapest I can get the internet for? Is it possible to be a computer pirate and not have to pay for connection to the world wide web? This is my first *real* computer. Will I be able to get internet access if I owe the phone company over $2,500? Does anyone work for the phone company that can erase that debt for me?? 
Anyways, those are a few questions I have. I don't know what I'm doing, I've only worked with Macintosh's before and I don't know jack about IBM's.IP: Logged |

Heh....yeah...it was actually when I was living in France and I subleted my apartment out to my boyfriend at the time.
He called me everynight and promised me it was on a phone card that he bought. Then he cheated on me and we broke up and I had a lovely suprise waiting for me when I got home....AND there were a few 1-900 #'s on there.
