I'm so tempted to purchase this item after holiday over. My address book is so heavy and full of info. I'm a busy mom. Any pro or con?IP: Logged |

Read some reviews and figure out what your needs are. Here is a good site for comparing PDA features.code:

I get enough computers at work and home. No cell, no PDA, just a 64MB USB storage device with my tool kit Let me know if you buy one, i'll send you a link to some "evaluation" software. IP: Logged |

I have a palm, well, a visor, actually. It's a bit much if you just need it as a planner. It's kind of a pain in the ass, given that if your batteries run out you have exactly 30 seconds to change them or you lose all your info and you have to go back and reinstall things. I've had mine for two years now and the ONLY thing I use it for is phone numbers and a couple of medical programs. For work I have a drug program that I use almost every day. Beyond that I know I would never use mine. Oh, and games. I play the games but it's a huge battery drain.IP: Logged |

I'd die without mine--but I'm a freelancer who is always running around and need all that info at my fingertips. If you actually use it, it's great, if not, it's an expensive paperweight.IP: Logged |

I've been a Palm user since the Palm III came out, and I love the things. I've currently got, through Sprint, a Handspring Treo 300, which is a combo Palm/cellphone with ISDN-speed wireless web access. I love it to death. I couldn't live without it (and not just because it's now my only phone). It's my phone and address book, my calendar (synced with my Meeting Maker account at work), and my diet manager (using a shareware calorie-counting program, I dropped nearly forty pounds). I use a city-guide program (Vindigo) that's indispensible for my visits to New York, and is pretty useful in the Twin Cities as well--for maps, movie times, restaurant listings, concert and bar listings, etc. The Treo's internet capability also allows me to manage email, browse the web (mostly the IMDB, for movie trivia stuff that pops up in conversation), and even run AOL Instant Messenger if I'm so inclined. A freestanding PDA is great and all, but with wireless web access, it borders on magical. IP: Logged |
