My new PC came loaded with Windows Home XP & occasionally when I'm on the WWW (usually reading this BB!), the desktop icons start to pop up through the site I'm looking at. Eventually everything freezes & I can't access the task manager to end the non-responding programs. Then some grey windows pop up on the screen & a blue progress meter goes in one of them; there's no text with the grey windows though so I don't have a clue what they're trying to tell me. Once I did get an error log report that directed me to download a video driver (I think that's what I did) from the MS site & that seemed to help for awhile but lately it's started happening again. It hasn't happened in any other application yet, just when I'm using IE. Any suggestions would be great appreciated!

Well that's one I haven't seen before. Is this a desktop or a laptop? If it is the video driver that's the culprit, it's usually better to get the newest driver from the video manufacturer's website.

Try the laptop manufacturer's support, then. They may have had other occurences of this issue and a resolution for you.
