So something fell on me at work(non union)today; it broke my glasses and cut my eye lid and its all swelled, black and blue, and its starting to hurt. I just got off the phone with a friend who knows medical stuff and she said i should hvae it checked out in case i cracked the bone area. When i asked to fill out accident report at work earlier before i left work, they told me not to worry about it unless i have complications.
Also, I can't afford to fix my glasses right now and its not my fault they broke, only the arm broke off, but i am pretty stretched right now on the bills and christmas is going to be pretty bleak for my kid this year. What are my rights, if any????

Don't worry, Trailerdiva. I have a foolproof strategy to get you out of here. Surprise witnesses, each more surprising than the last. The judge won't know what hit him.

That sounds pretty cavalier on the part of your employer! Not to worry? You already have complications a result of something falling onto your head. I really hope that your face and eyeballs and cheekbone are all right, I am sorry that it must hurt even so. The very least your workplace ought to do is fix your glasses for you.
Oh, if it checks out to just be bruising, I recommend Calendula oil from a health store. A little jar is under $10 and it really helps speed up healing of the swelling and discoloration. Comfrey is good too. And for cuts that you want to heal with no scar, try almond oil: $3.99 is what I paid for a little bottle this weekend. It works super well, but apply it with cotton cos if you touch the contents of the bottle, it will pick up people-oil and smell funny. Or so I have been told.
Anyhow, get this checked out. I sure hope there is a TCPunker who can help (Or Quagmire's friend).
