Kinda interesting follow-up on Big Hits Vol 3 participants from the perspective of a Boston writer circa '81 ("Big Hits/Broken Promise" by Byron Coley in Take It magazine). It seems as if these out-of-town pundits could get a little harsh on Mpls bands at times (this is just the factual part of the article). Especially compared to the fawning bestowed upon the bands that came around a few years later (Huskers, Mats, etc). At the same time the East Coast bullies (just kidding) would sometimes bring up issues that had been dogging the locals for years (and maybe still do).

Actually, for vintage Byron Coley, this is pretty tame.
