Okay, I'll try this again, as the other Pixies thread has unexplainably vanished - I'm trying to help someone put together a missing piece of history here.

I have a question for all you Pixies fans who lived in the Twin cities in 1988 -

I saw them play an in-store at Northern Lights (downtown Mpls) on June 3rd, and again that same evening at 7th St. Entry. Does anyone know if they might have played another set somewhere else that same day, like another in-store perhaps?

Okay, the reason I'm asking this question is that a friend of mine in the Netherlands has a tape of The Pixies which was passed on to him, which was reportedly the in-store from Northern Lights in Mpls. At the end of their set, the band mentions something about playing later that night at the Entry. He's also got a copy of a tape I made him from their Northern Lights in-store that day, and it turns out that it's not the same tape as what he already had. this would mean that The Pixies played somewhere else that day - could it have been Northern Lights in St. Paul? One of the local radio stations? Three sets in one day? And, how did I miss it, whatever it was?

I have no help for you, just a quick aside.

The re-release of The Purple Tape on CD this year was a massive bonus. If anyone out there likes The Pixies at all, get it.

Now back to the matter at hand...Somebody answer cwb's question, m'kay?
