Ouch! I sure am glad I don't have my high school pics floating around. But dave was always nice enough to me. Even produced one of our demos for free. Did a pretty good job too, considering what he had to work with.

I went to a bar with my friend Andrew when his band ( which hasn't played in the cities for about6 years) played in Minneapolis a couple months back. Well we walk into the bar order some food and something to drink...Andrew looks at the Dave Pirner lookalike crooning on the small stage up front, shakes his his head and remarks "Just what did Dave Pirner do to this city? If he shows up tonight I swear to god I'm gonna smack him like a red headed stepchild."

I thought it was great of Soul Asylum (on short notice & relatively early in the day) to lend their support to Walter Mondale's candidacy at last Monday's rally in Peavey Plaza. Too bad they ran out of time & couldn't do P-9 though...

Yes, I will look past his bad judgement(Winona) and say I still love the guy. He's very talented, and writes fantastic songs. Although, the new album I feel could have been better, I still enjoyed it, it was a good first solo attempt.

Also he doesn't get pissed when I grab his ass. Which I've done drunkenly every time I see him at a bar

Dave gave me a big hug before they played at the Mondale rally last week. Y'know, whatever you think of those guys and their music or whatever, they are genuinly really nice guys, hell both Dave and Danny gave me hugs. How many people hug anymore? I'm not talking about with your lover or whatever but when you see an old friend. But to those guys its just the most natural thing to do. Good folks. Enjoyed seeing them. Wish they coulda propelled Mondale over the top but they did what they could do.
