yes, I must admit, I got caught literally fucking around in lakewood cemetary with a certain J.M.. It was so nice with the pond and the geese. Then the grounds people came and busted us, I was totally bare ass naked. While being escorted out, J.M. talked this groundskeeper into giving us a tour. IP: Logged |

i also remember manny. He had his arm around me at a lori barbero party when she lived in the uptown area. Anyway, I thought his finger was my purse-strap, and I started chewing on it, but he didn't notice until I broke skin, and he bled quite heavily. I felt bad, but it was an accident.IP: Logged |

hmmmm ... a friend of mine was just buried there last week ... designer guy named James Johnson ... also known as St. James (among other things) ... he was not very old ... guess it was a lovely service ... lots of people went to it ... was not able to fly up for that one. If you are going to be buried in a Minneapolis plot ... let it be Lakewood. Pretty cool place. But James Rest in Peace? Hell no ... they had a party for him the very next day! Even more people came to that! Supposedly there were James sightings (unconfirmed at this point). His ashes, by the by, were buried at the family plot in Lakewood, he chose to be buried in his 40's chi-chi champagne bucket. Seemed somehow appropriate. Tip the glass to ya James!IP: Logged |

Manny is still around, a friend of mine (former Manny girlfriend circa 1984) just moved in with another ex-girfriend of Manny's. A lot of people are buried at Lakewood, including Megan Cook and Scotty Greer. Too bad that seems to be the only time I see everybody all together anymore is there.IP: Logged |

Me and some friends used to sneak in there and burn a few, if you catch my drift, esp. in front of that trippy freemason one (pic above). The bird conservatory behind is pretty cool also. Wish I had pics.[This message has been edited by joeschmoe (edited 08-26-2002).] IP: Logged |

More that 10 yrs ago, my roomate, Andrienne and I worked together at a Tower. It was a crazy nite and we decided to eat at Perkins to calm down. Didn't work and it was almost 3:00am, we looked at each other and said "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Visited the Lakewood, we climbed over the spike fence and walked through the cemetary, mist on the ground, bats flying low . It was beautiful but creepy. A security car was driving through and we hid behind the large tombstones, trying not to laugh. We ran to the fence, climbed the fence and went home. We finally slept like a baby. Now, my friend had gone through bad times (I past mine) and wonder if we should it again before we get too old."This I got a permission from Andrienne to use her name. She told me "Thanks for thinking of me!!" [This message has been edited by Evil Angel (edited 09-12-2002).] IP: Logged |
