Sorry I couldn't make an appearance in the '82 Edina book. A few others that should be in there: Mike Lehecka, Mark and Al Lindskoog, Mary Retzlaff, Steve Sutherland (Nova Mob)and all three Carpetbaggers (Magnuson, Copley, Crabtree). That Toma thing was pretty intense. As I remember it took a whole day of school and all of the students met in the gym. It was pin-drop quiet for 3+ hours as former narco/undercover cop Dave Toma screamed at us about the perils of drug use. Some unbelievable tales were told including the one about the 3 year old who drank a gallon of wine a day and if you've ever smoked a joint, you're an ADDICT! It was wild seeing the career burnouts line up to hand in their pipes, bongs and bags. They then put on a button that read "I've Been Toma-ized". Too bad Fisher had dropped out by the time Toma arrived. He was the real deal doing bong-hits on the school bus. Nobody wears those Foster Grants anymore. Guy, that picture of you reminds me of the time your mom bought Big Black's "Songs About Fucking" for you at the Wax.IP: Logged |

Todd Fisher, supreme head of all time came from East as did Bug and I. We were forced to go to Edina-West when they closed down Edina-East and sold the building to a Lutheran school.Bug, Mark Lindskoog is missing from the '82 yearbook, so is Lehecka. I'll work on the rest. I've even got a picture of Steve Sutherland from grade school when we were on the same hockey team. I think he was our goalie. Don't forget all the Tomas stories that ended with some guy in a jail cell, high on angel dust, clawing his own eyes out. IP: Logged |

I found Steve S. in 1980 Whigrean but no swillmongrel...perhaps you were 2 grades behind your brother? Alas...you will not find me in any 1981 or 1982 year books...but you could see my cute baby sister Susan!I am a bit older than y'all. I'll have my resident technician post my photo for you along with my sister's for reference. IP: Logged |

Yep, 2 grades behind my brother. I'm in the '81-'83 Whigreens. My older brother and sister have Whigreens spanning from '75-'81. I'm thinking Lori B. might be in one of those older Whigreens. Not sure if she ever attended any Edina schools but her brother Jeff graduated from Edina-East in '81.IP: Logged |

That's the funniest damn thing I've seen in a long time. The pics of Swill, Todd Fisher Toma . . . is this the "Princess Tiny Meat" posting the pics?Time to spout . . . no I'm not masturbating to some porn shyite online either . . . I remember the days when I had the punk rock mentality, not so much the look but the ideals, ideas and feelings. And as I aged, somehow I let those go, not all but some and ended up working for a corporation, something I was adamantly against. In fact I prided myself for working for small co's less than 30 people. Now here I am in NYC working for a publicly traded ad agency with 11,000 people and dwindling. Why you might ask am I saying this, because we've just had our 6th round of layoffs and a good friend of mine, who's into music and the like was laid off . . . the day after we had some RA RA F%^&king speech from our CEO with his corporate speak BS. We're going to be a 25,000 person company and in every household in the world, some crap like that. And do you wanna know our "NEW" mantra, "We're brining people together to advance their lives". Meanwhile we layoff talented people. Damn it's time to get back to my beliefs again . . . THIS PLACE sucks and so doesn corporate America!!! It's going down, down hard!!! Okay? IP: Logged |

Well, damn - I'd be in there too (class of '83) but I moved to KC in 1979. Badgas, my brothers were there around the same time as you - we have to meet in person some time and swap tales.IP: Logged |

My sister has emailed me after finding this thread and threatened me and my children with bodily harm if I ever post her "Farah wanna-be picture". I will post my own however as I have no shame. I may have to pull out a picture from my "punk rock party" that I had in the summer of 1979.Look for it in the 1980 party thead. That would show you the true nature of my journey out of the suburbs.IP: Logged |

Anyone have any pictures of Tom "Weeds" Johnson? I don't remember what year he graduated, but I know he's an old Edina boy and definitely from the East side.IP: Logged |

There were two Tom Johnson's. One in the class of '79 and one in the class of '80 with me. Any hints as to which one?IP: Logged |

christ -- first of all, I can't believe that that is really Heather's dad; is that for real? and East is a communtiy center, not a Lutheran school, but I fail to see much difference IP: Logged |
