I have to get out of this cess-pool and was seriously considering coming North to either one of the T.C.s or Portland but haven't the slightest clue what I'm about to get myself into. The internet isn't really doing much to help me, hopefully you guys can do something for me. Storm me with information of any kind...I'll sort it out. Particularly issues concerning the lower class (yep, that's me)...like cheap rent, employment, utility, the local government and their "tolerance", all that responsibility I don't really want to have to undertake but will obviously have to (I'm planning a family, yeah, "burntout", I know). Any "green" information (vegan, veg, eco-friendly, animal rights activity, ect...) would be appreciated. How much does a fucking Taco Bell employee get paid? What's there to do? What else? Activism (a-poli, a-racism, green, all that good stuff)? I don't know, like I said, just storm this message forum with all the crap you want and I'll sort it out. I know this is rather odd, but if you've ever been to Tx you can imagine how bad I've gotta get out. I'm relying on you guys as nothing else has given me any insight. Oh, and yeah, I'm serious...I feel like such a fucking lamer, but hey, "the ends justifies the means" so help me out.Peace IP: Logged |

Based on the kind of stuff you're interested in, I think you'll find more relevant info at this site. More politically active/crusty than us jaded old fuckers.

Alright, I didn't realize someone already posted such a lamo post...wish I would've seen that before putting mine up (thanks to you) and I didn't see a message board on Profane's site before (I'm just blind I geuss, thanks there too)? What the hell was all the Prince shit...oops, wait, read that wrong, ah, I see...just an expression to me. Sorry. I was just trying to say...well, shit, tryign to say something totally different than what it sounded like I was trying to say...ugh, nevermind...that made me sound bad...oh well.Really I just needed living information, not neccesarily what "the scene" had to offer or whatever. I know profane minneapolis based (actually thats how I got here) and such, I"m really gonna enjoy Arise bookstore I think...but I'm just trying to figure out what I could about living (I gotta baby on the way so I needed to know what to expect...well, we think). I know this is all weird but those fucking "cost of living" calculators, all the job search craps, researching legal sites (for potential differences in "certain" laws), I've been up and down it all and it doesn't tell me anything. If this were just me I'd be less likely to worry about all that, but now I have to. There's really no point in my posting this here I suppose...just thought I'd give it a shot. Thanks.
