I always liked his stuff and I think I have a bunch of those zines in storage. Say, tell him to email me and Swill sometime and we'll have him over for a BBQ. (Maybe we should do a left coast TC Punk reunion?)

What years were you in San Diego? Who else did you know? Did you know (Jon Toner A.K.A. "Testi")? I just learned his real name from Social Spit on my page a few weeks ago- I only ever knew him as Testicle Head- but Testi for short. I got an E-mail from Lee not too long ago- He's a Computer Graphic Designer from some Biotech firm, but he said it's about time for Testi to make a comeback.

Hey Toby, Just saw your web page - can't wait to devour it. We've lived here five years only.

Tuesday nights my husband and friend DJ at the LiveWire from 9:00 on. You should come down and check it out and say "hi." - Pass it along to Lee if you talk to him...

"Mar 24, 2002: I regret to note the passing of an old friend, Mad Marc Rude. Marc is well known as the artist who did classic record cover art and posters for the likes of The Misfits, Tex & The Horseheads and Battalion Of Saints... Marc was also an old, old friend from my years in L.A. I spent many evenings during the Powertrip-era ingesting a vast variety of interesting chemicals and rocking the night away with Mad Marc. He was truly one of the great maniacs I've met in this life. Amazing that any of us made it into our 40s... I'm honored to have had him do the cover art for what is undisputedly the most harsh, abrasive and least loved record I've ever released, Heart Full Of Snot. I wouldn't have considered anyone else for the job. The only details I've gotten regarding the cause of death is, "47 years of being Mad Marc Rude." http://www.lastbandit.com/jeffdahl/news.html

That sucks, I had no idea. Mad Marc was nice enough to do a Your Flesh cover for us. When I moved to San Diego, Lee and I drove to Hollywood to visit Mad Marc. He was a great guy...super nice...he will be missed

I've never been much of a fan of art, 'specially "punk" art. But mad Mark's stuff was always classic. Much better than Pushead. Nice to see Jeff Dahl's obit to Rude, even if the cover of Heart Full Of Snot wasn't one of Marks best drawings.
