I believe Heather Lafaye made some screen time, and I think Pad Malloy.

If you look in the background at the bar scenes it's a veritble "who's who" of scene that summer. I especially like Erick Mitchells cameo as the guy who receives the flyer while standing in front of the flop house hotel that's above Blues Alley (I'm an idiot and can't remember the name right now... the Continental?).

Man that was a sorry thing. At the time, I was working with Tony Pucci (Man size Action)
and we called up the clown that was writing the movie and offered him some pointers, since it was to be about Mpls. punk rock.
He wanted the punks all made-up and with crazy hair and clothes, quite contrary to the reality of the situation in the early 80's.
The only hair dye jobs I remember were CJ's tri-colored mohawk, a certain invitation to get beaten up in 1981, Dave's wonderful PIL logo shave-job, and that one guy whose name I can't recall, with all the Brit punk poser clothes. There were various mohawks, but few.

Barely remember "the clown that wrote the movie", but his name was Tom and he was actually quite nice. He meant well and Channel 2 totally safed it up and made it crap. Well at least that was his side of the story.

Tom did make me some awsome tapes of The Fall, DAF and weird Echo demos. For a guy I met at a phone job, I stand up for him, but in no way the movie. But the tracking around the pillars shots are pretty funny.

Sorry, but I stand by my description of "clown". The music and visual media industries are full of supposedly "well meaning" jackasses who like to prove that they have a "hip" background.
Channel 2 is another sorry outfit, however, my conversation with the culprit is etched into my memory quite well.

Does Mitch Griffin still work at TPT 2/17?
It's not KTCA or KTCI anymore,or so they said
on the last pledge drive. If Mitch does still
work there maybe he could find the "lost
footage", assuming any exists, give it to Ferret or someone else with video experience,
and then they could show it at the Uptown Theatre as a "Cult Classic".(A TV Movie First! A Made For TV Movie finally released
on the big screen!)Either that or they could
show it late at night on TPT 17 in a split screen with the weather info.

Is Spyke an English Canadian? Cause zomzom
is a French Canadian, so there could be a
conflict here.

I don't know if Mitch Griffin still works there or not but I got ahold of the only remaining video footage from "half life" that was in their library and made a clean VHS of it. I tried to find other videos with whole footage and all I could find was the aired version. Their video library is spread throughout the entire fucking building though. There may be some lost bit of video in some schmoes office.

Bev, did I ever tell you my story of being interviewed there?
I actually experienced reverse discrimination at it's finest.

Never heard the story, also never heard of "REVERSE" discrimination... it's all the same regardless of what ethnic group you fall into.

(PS, I start a shit-job next week, I'll get the $50 you shortly!)

Yes, and yes.
I suppose any discrimination is plain discrimination. In a nutshell, I was the most qualified for the job, yet I didn't get it. They wound up "asking" the person that they hired instead of me to "volunatarily" quit because said person could not do the job, had no experience doing that sort of work, and had lied. Even with the spurious resume and application this person had, I had better credential, education and experience. Oh well, Mitch told me what was going on behind the scenes at that time. Yes, he still works there. Mitch is a good guy. And thanks for remembering the moola Ollie, no hurry, no worries!
