Yes I do. Give me a couple of days to pull 'em out of whatever box they're in. I think they oughtta be scanned anyway, because they're probably not gonna hold up forever down in the basement. If Lar-Bob is reading this, I bet you know someone who has a few of these!IP: Logged |

Thanks Clyde, I was waiting to see if this was the same guy. He lived in an apartment building on Emerson? and Lagoon. He would sell his comics in front of the building while others had garage sales.I liked his stuff! Can't remember anything else. Thanks for the post. IP: Logged |

It's really pretty amazing how such simple drawings can be done so well. You can tell that Feazell can REALLY draw. Perspective, layout.... all that shit. He also has a knack for sound effects. (Tire screech=ERT!) Hee hee.We have a paperback collection of Cynicalman strips at The Nostalgia Zone, but I priced it kinda high 'cos I'd never even seen it before. I dunno, maybe I could deal on it a bit. IP: Logged |

Man. I LOVED Cynicalman! Great DIY stuff. I used to have a Cynicalman fan club card - I was member #8 or something. It got ruined in my wallet tho. IP: Logged |

If that paperback is still there I'd be interested in picking it up. IP: Logged |

Didn't Cynical Man have a "super hero" alter-ego? I vaguely recall that.D'OH! edited.. i recall that i was thinking of his friend "stupid boy" or some such. The kid who used to be really smart and then got bonked on the head and thought he was a superhero. Funny stuff

http://www.tcpunk.com/ubb/Forum4/HTML/000282.html for another Feazell creation with Old Guy, Henry Rollins, Husker guys, Curtiss, et al. yet to be identified--like the two black women at the right! In his e-mails to me, Matt doesn't remember the circumstances of doing the t-shirt but does relish his memories of seeing Husker at the Upper Deck.IP: Logged |

I don't know them, but I'm guessing that the women at the right may have been part of Shangoya? Not much reggae going on locally at that time, and since the shirt represented bands that played the Upper Deck, Shangoya would make sense as they had played there several times, if memory serves.

Thanks, Zom--that's a pretty good possibility; I didn't know there were women in Shangoya, who's celebrating their 30th anniv. this weekend, I think? Also, I mistakenly omitted Yuck Foo from the luminaries pictured here...he's at the back with the ferret...DUH!IP: Logged |

I'm pretty sure the mohawk guy is Drew Miller - he either DJ'd or did sound at the Upper Deck I think. I'm pretty sure he went through a mohawk period around that time. Better known as the bass player for Boiled in Lead. He also has something to do with Northside Records - I think it's his label. http://www.noside.com/ IP: Logged |
