What the hell? The internet (Google) has almost nothing on this classic comic. I remember not being able to NOT see it when you opened a fanzine in the '80s!
My friend Dave and I made a reference to "people acting like something out of a Baboon Dooley comic" recently and it was met with a blank stare. WTF!! Could it be that this just never made it to the on-line? No fan sites? I can't even find one .jpg to post here.

Well, this one....

Crawford sent Baboon Dooley to every fanzine. Your Flesh ran a few...I admire how hard he worked at his craft, but I was never a big fan.

I vaguely remember some sort of stink about people who hated seeing his shit everywhere.

Good question. It was everywhere. I hated it for a long time and finally sort of got into it's "scene commentary" aspect. That's how it came up in conversation recently.
No, I didn't like it much either and apparently no one else did. It's barely documented on the web. I just think it's strange.

He sent them to us to run in Bumpstick during 95 and 96. I'm with RC, the guy worked hard but I never really got into his stuff.

I never quite understood the attraction, but kind of thought it was just me cause it was so prevalent, I figured others liked it and I must just not be cool enough to figure out why.
