The one with the guy in his apt., getting fed up with his pet ferret, and sticking his tongue out at it. the ferret lunging across the room attaching itself to his tongue. That one fucking rules! I don't why, I just seem drawn to it.

FERRET LOVERS OUTRAGED

From FerretCity.com
VERIZON IS VICIOUS -- NOT FERRETS !!!

We at FerretCity are shocked and horrified by a new Verizon Wireless television commercial that shows a ferret in a stand-off with a man in his living room (we are led to believe that the ferret is the man's pet). The ferret jumps at the man and plants its teeth into the man's face. The man goes running out of the house, screaming in pain, with a ferret attached to his face, viciously biting him.

We are absolutely stunned that this ad idea was given a green light by Verizon's marketing department. What were they thinking? Are they so out of touch with the American population that they don't know that ferrets are in the top five favorite pets in the U.S.? Anyone who owns a ferret knows that ferrets are NOT like the one portrayed in the commercial. Anyone who owns a ferret knows that they are sweet, loving, affectionate, wonderful pets.

We are urging our readers to contact Verizon and Bozell (the advertising agency who developed the ad), and tell them both that this is an inaccurate portrayal of ferrets.

I really do like the amazon ad that's filmed from the viewpoint of someone stewing behind the wheel as they wait for a pokey person to get out of their way in a parking lot while the Soft Boys' "I Wanna Destroy You" plays.

Me no like. Sure, the song made me pay attention, but the ad just feeds on rage. At least Robyn gets a royalty check.

i like the commercials with the really crude artwork for anti-depressants. Especially the egg shaped main character that is depressed, he's no more than an oval with eyes, but still pretty cute. In addition, i like the part where they talk about what causes depression and show a drawing of what i assume to be synaptic transmission or something like that, and at the bottom of the screen it says 'dramatization'. Really? You could've fooled me with that realistic representation of the inside of my brain.

I love the Zoloft commercial, Naked Maygun! It definitely captures depression. A butterfly flits by, lackluster...
I identified with that commercial so well.

Do you guys get the Geico commercials out there? The one where the squirrel deliberately runs in front of a car to make the driver crash, then he does some paddy-whack with his squirrel friend in celebration? Cracks me up every time -- I love when animals are manipulated to make them act like humans.

Ditech commercials are also bottom of the barrel. I'd pay good money to be able to flatten that dude.

Word.

I also like the Kevin Bacon credit card commercial where he finds his own "six degrees" for ID in writing a check.

I just saw that Virgin Mobil commercial where the, I guess, reggae guy, is in a trailer with two kids and the woman with bad teeth.
I'd describe it more, but really, you just have to see it.

anyone recognize Fred Armisen as some sort of blue genie in a car ad? Reminds me of the Newsradio episode where Bill McNeil does a similar ad.

That ad for "Ethereal Cereal" is pretty sweet.

But it can't hold a candle to "Lucky Airlines".

I don't like television one bit, but I did recently catch a commercial for Red Bull that was kind of funny, in a morbid sort of way. It's a line animation, and two guys jump out of a plane, learn their chutes are inoperable, and plummet into the ground, and die instantly. Their ghosts joke about how good Red Bull is for the spirit, as they float away to heaven. Cute.

I like it when it's hopping around to show happiness, then it bounces off to a cave to cry to represent depression. He's not even a perfect oval, either.
