Nice photos, but I did not click to see the full size view. I do not believe you gentlemen would fit on my screen, and my wrist would get too tired from all that scrolling around. Plus I just replaced this monitor last summer and I can't afford a new one. Just kidding Ollie! Sorry.IP: Logged |

Wow, I can't believe that anyone from Plainfield heard anything about you guys (I'm assuming this woman is from Plainfield... in central WI, the nut rarely falls far from the tree. ) I'm not too surprised by her reaction, though. I'm from Coloma, about thirteen miles from Plainfield, and Ed Gein is pretty much the only thing that puts Waushara County on the map. This doesn't bother most of the rest of us, but mentioning the infamous Gein in Plainfield is a good way to get shot. They're pretty sick of being solely known as "THE HOME OF ED GEIN" and really don't want to think about it. Honestly though, it's a sad little place, run down, backwards, and economically depressed, and there's not much else to say about it. That said, I still think that you are a bunch of communists. Go back to France. IP: Logged |

Well, Having exposed myself (so to speak) to your sordid brand of so-called "entertainment" on more than one occasion i can safely say.............Pink Chucks? nice touch. the CD's good too. Let me know if you need anyone to yell obscenities at the band in the future. IP: Logged |

woo HOO! that show on Sat. was terrible! In a good way of course. I appreciated the "abercrombie & bitch" comment quite a bit. Highly appropriate. I have never seen that many deadpan faces at a rock show. Thanks for waiting for me to return from the bathroom before continuing with your set! So, now, where do we sign up for the Ed Gein Fan Club Fan Club??IP: Logged |

And yet you didn't rise to the "rock trivia" challenge?!?Actually it IS an Iron Maiden rip-off, but it's also the most getneric metal-riff in the world. It's close to the Sexual Favours riff that you're thinking of, but completely by coincidence. IP: Logged |

I'm guessing that you must be talking about the intro to "Hey, Headbanger," no? My Iron Maiden is a bit rusty, but when I heard it, I was thinking something around the 'Somewhere in Time' era, perhaps, 'Wasted Years.' I don't know exactly the reference to which you guys are referring, but that intro reminds me of Maiden.IP: Logged |

Yep. I don't know what Maiden thing it is, someone showed me how to play it in the late 80's, after I had written Hey Headbanger. But after the gig at Urban Wildlife I may keep the song as "Hey Punkrocker" IP: Logged |

did the Ed Gein Fan Club shirts I saw in Houston about 12 or so originate from you guys or was the idea just ripped off from you?IP: Logged |

I started the band in 1984. In about 1988/9 someone made t-shirts with Ed's face in a circle and on the edge of the circle it said "Officla Member Of The Ed Gein Fan Club". I can't claim that whoever designed that had heard of the band (although the band Ed Gein's Car from NYC had heard of us as being the only other "Ed Gein" band). In about 1990 something called The Foxxe Entertainment Group started selling "Official Ed Gein Fan Club" merchandise... shirts, stickers, pins, mugs etc. I wrote a letter to Foxxe Ent. Groupe and enclosed all the clipings and documentation that I had about the band. I wrote it very humorously and made no threatening remarks at all. FEG's lawyers shot me back a letter defending their right to have an "Ed Gein Fan Club", citing the many Beatles and Elvis fan clubs. I've still got the letter somewhere, if I can find it you can bet it will go up on our web site. IP: Logged |
