For those that have the cashola, I have a source for playoff tickets which I would gladly purchase for you. However, it's an all or nothing deal. Here's the scoop:A maximum of four (4) ticket strips per employee. A strip consists of one seat to each of the eleven possible games to be played by the Twins at the Metrodome during the post-season. There are three possible division series games, four American League Championship games and four World Series Games. Each strip will cost $660. The ticket cost is broken down as follows: (tickets for games not played will be refunded in full) Division series - $20 each; ALCS - $40 each; World Series $110 each All payment (check, cash, money order or credit card) must be presented at the time of purchase - you will be given your tickets immediately Any tickets for games not played will be refunded in full to the ticket holder. Tickets are located in the lower level outfield. Tickets are limited - first come, first serve. No pre-orders will be taken prior to this time. IP: Logged |

Twins win in 12 last night off of David "the big O" Ortiz's two run home run. Damn am I tired. Maybe I should be posting this under the hangover thread?[This message has been edited by gilligan (edited 09-26-2002).] IP: Logged |

Anyone doing any happy hours for the play-off games Tue or Wed? A beautiful sweep of the White Sux!! Dapper and I got free tickets for the Saturday game and a guy we were sitting by was getting free beer from the group he was with, so he offered us brews too! We also won the Salted Nut Roll! Free game, free beer, Free Pin, and a free Nut Roll, ah the simple joys in life. And the game was awesome, that Damn Kielty kid pulls through again!! Let's hope they can get out of Oakland with a couple wins!

i know, deja vu two nites in a row. (B.K)... real drag about not being able to break the error-less 104 games. Mike fucked everything up at 102. it;s great that they swept the Sox. bretter than '87, where they didn't win a game for the rest of the season after clinching the division. wow... i can't wait. I'm trying to decide where i should watch those (at least 3 games)... grumpies, or my studio and get some work done at the same time. I don't think i can. anyonw getting together anywhere?wow, people who are into punk and baseball??? this is a fantasy! IP: Logged |

You have to post more. I can't remember what the number is I think it's 25 posts and you get Punk status. Today first round. The A's I don't think, know what they are going to be battling. All they've been talking about is playing the Yanks in the second round. That makes me want to kick their ass even more. I've got my little Twins shrine all set up on my desk. I can't wait!! Yeah, I just read the Contra Costa Times online and they sure are talking smack--prediciting a sweep, calling the Twins the worst team to make it to post-season.I've been telling people here at work that I seem to be coming down with something...Guzmanitis is affecting my joints, I've got a Hocking cough, it may be Scarlet Koskiecuddyerrivas for all I know. I think I'm going to need some rest and a lot of fluids in about five hours..... IP: Logged |

My boss is onto me there's no way I could pull off a cold. However I'm taking a late lunch from 3-4pm and the TV in the break room picks up channel 9 wonderfully!!!! Took Friday off. Lets win this first one and clinch the first round on Saturday at home. Hudson, Mulder and Zito can kiss my ass!!![This message has been edited by gilligan (edited 10-01-2002).] IP: Logged |

I'm having a heart attack over here. WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON? I have 10 words for them: COMMUNICATE AND KEEP YOU DAMN EYES ON THE DAMN BALL! Man alive...They're killing me here. On a positive note, if you look at the skyways in the IDS building they have these huge stencils that say WIN TWINS. IP: Logged |

I'm not a huge ball fan, but I was planning to watch the Twins play the Yanks when I bought my ALCS tickets for Yankee stadium. They better make it, or if they don't, I hope that the Yanks also don't make it.IP: Logged |

WHOO-HOO!!!!Eddie was worrying me quite a bit. My poor cats all scattered during the last inning because it was a little intense. AND IT WAS ONLY GAME 1. I think my heart's going to give out before game 3! Today is another tough one for the boys. I have great faith, after playing like shit the first couple innings and still pulling off a win, I think they'll be just fine. IP: Logged |

The best worst game ever indeed. I think that the Twins win will have MONSTROUS psychological effects on both teams. The Twins know they can win, Oakland knows that the Twins could not have played worse, and they have the spectre of the previous two Octobers to haunt them..... SIXTEEN MINUTES AND COUNTING! The Rally is at 12:15pm.Yes, yesterday was a bad hit. BUT they're coming back to Minneapolis, 2 games. No problem. They'll have so much fan support, homefield, a day to shake it off. I'm hoping for a big ass celebration on Saturday. IP: Logged |

AJ is cute, hell they're all cute because 90% of the team is all of 22 years old, but the sexiest Twin by far is JC Romero - his ass is fantASStic!IP: Logged |

In general, the Twins winning away from the dome is a major accomplishment. I can't remember if they've even won a playoff game away from home. So, they're ahead of their own curve. Which counts for something. What, I don't know.IP: Logged |

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I hear ya, but I don't think I'm going to puke, maybe heart failure....Even though I'm not going tomorrow night, I'll have some drinkin' buds coming over and lots of scotch on hand! That should calm the nerves a bit. WHOOO-HOOOOO!!!! IP: Logged |

My promised ticket for tomorrow's game fell through, so I'll be watching at home. I was all set for going to the game, seeing the Shrimpers that night and being deaf as all hell the rest of the weekend. Zito will be tough, but I think if they make it through the first couple of innings without giving up a lead they'll take it from there and get the win. Too much help was given to the A's those first two games.IP: Logged |

Ah ha ha..ha ha. I began watching this game in the middle of the 4th inning. And look what I did! For a nominal fee - say, 10 cents per Minnesota resident - I will be willing to watch EVERY GAME for the remainder of the post season. Just think what the Twins could do if I started watching at the BEGINNING OF THE GAME! IP: Logged |
