The typed word cannot suffice. Let's just say it was Un-fuckin'-believable...and that there were less than 50 of us present to witness it. I don't think I succeeded in getting them to stop in the TC's, though. Sorry. If I didn't lose the disposable camera, I have some pictures for you. First off, Owen you are damn funny my man and yes, QUITE Handsome I might add. Make sure you say hello to your better half too!
Hope to see you again when you come to our town.The show was amazing Ollie!! They had such energy, and what a stage presence, if you get a chance to see The Epoxies GO!!! Don't make me come after you. Thanks to the Handsome One for all the drinks "on the house" at Manitoba's too. All in all a very nice whirlwind trip to the big apple. Next time, I'm staying longer! Glad to know we were missed so much!!

Dick didn't sing half as loud as us drunks were...they had a guy DJ-ing everything from punk to ska, dancehall and hiphop...good times. He was a good sport and signed my newly purchased "I heart Dick..." wife-beater once I put it on (he was kinda embarassed about the whole thing, but I wanted to get a picture of us with me wearing the signed shirt)!I'm so tired, sore and broke right now that i just want to go home and sleep. sorry i didn't meet you @ newark. i was beat and had to get film to the lab. and the thought of spending another second in that airport causes me to convulse. i hope my next mpls trip coincides with some sort of tcpparty so i can meet all y'all.we're supposed to get clobbered with a huge storm tonite. you guys split just in time. I have to say, he was an absolute great guy. He came down after watching the football game, just because Joe (the bartender) called and said there were some girls from Minneapolis there to see him. I harrassed him about hitting the midwest soon, he said "I'm trying". I was pretty drunk when we left, so I think it was a successful outing to Manitoba.

argggggh.Miss A thought y'all was coming to town this coming weekend, not the one just past...guess that holiday shite got me cornfuzed. I had a mpls moment at Pete's Candy store last Friday inadvertantly anyway...king of france (Steve S from Deformo, etc) and tulip sweet (with zach from...every band, i think)rocked the leetle back stage. Hope you guys had a great time..you had the last of the warm weather. There's no snow yet, but it got brrrrrrcold. If you come again, let's synchronize watches. maybe the tcnycpunks can have a social anyway....

Thanks to the Handsome One for all the drinks "on the house" at Manitoba's too. Yeah Manitoba's is the best bar in NY, espesially if you don't have a ton of money. If the bartender likes you, or likes the people your with, they will hook you up with free drinks. And they have cool rock'n'roll photo's all over the wall. I'll be playing a show at CBGB's this Staurday so I'll definetly be in Manitoba's on this Friday. HooliganKat, are you still in NY? We're playing CBGB's this Saturday for Homocorps. Its a pretty huge party in NY, and if your there, and I don't have a limited guest list, I can maybe put you on it.. Cb's is always a good time. IP: Logged |

Ollie -- yer funny...I swear I TOLD you I was leaving! I got here in July...Blowtorch -- I'm going down to see atph on Sat...iz that yer band? Can I get me some list? I have a "work" "holiday" "party" earlier in the eve...can't wait to figure out how to go from "cocktail-dressy" to "cocktail-hussy" without having to do too much clotheschanging on the subway (although you know I'd be in good company...saw a guy this am sans PANTS). RAH/Kubler -- wanna go shoppin on 5th ave and hit the times square olive garden for dinner? So I spoke with the promoter last night. We only get 2 people per band member on the list. I have mine full already because my partner and her sister are in NY right now and coming to the show. Sorry....I think everyone in the band will use all their guest list spots too. If it were up to me I'd throw everyone on the list!!! But here are the details......
ATPH goes on at 10pm at CBGB's, for Homocorps. In order to get a discount at the door,goto www.homocorps.com
and print out the front page...I think it will save you like $5.00 or sumthin like that. Please circle our name on that page (and give it to the door guy) for that is how the bands get paid for this show.
Do you live in NY or will you just ne visiting for that time? Did you see one of our shows in NY? Which one? Patti Pagen, we've been playing NY alot latley. After this gig we'll be taking a break from the east coast for a bit and doing the midwest, England, and concentrate on the west coast more. IP: Logged |
