Wow, that was actually a funny comic strip. I haven't laughed at that genre since Far Side.IP: Logged |

This sucks. I have to admit to liking the Triple Rock's veggie/vegan food better though. Awesome breakfast....with drinx on the menu. Breakfast burrito and a pint of Guinness on a Saturday afternoon puts me in a very good state of mind.IP: Logged |

The Mud Pie closing? No great loss. The food is tasteless and overpriced. Sure, there's more vegetarians now than ever before, but they've also started to realize that VEGGIE FOOD DOESN'T HAVE TO TASTE LIKE SHIT IN ORDER TO BE 'HEALTHY'. The last time I had breakfast at the Mud Pie, it cost us $16 for two orders of pancakes and a glass of orange juice, and it took the 45 minutes to make it (the restaurant was mostly empty). PLus they charged extra for all of the condiments... like, what, do they expect people to eat their pancakes dry? Haven't been there in years. If a sports bar moves in, I doubt it will last. Totally out of character for that particular neighborhood. [This message has been edited by dadaduck (edited 12-09-2002).] IP: Logged |

I'm surprised at how many people say the food was no good. I always loved it. Nice big filling crispy tostadas, and pizza and heck I thought they had a ton of great stuff. Anyway, anyone know when the last day is? I would like to go at least once more before they close.IP: Logged |

I must apologize for my friend's atrocious sense of humor, but if you knew sonitus like PiPPi and I do, the thought of him punching his girlfriend would actually be pretty hilarious. He wuld probably let you hit him for a buck. On the other hand, his analogy remided me of a horrible incident that ocurred while I worked there, some years ago. Some unfortunate fellow was stuck in the bathroom, and his colostomy bag broke open. Pretty soon, it was all we could smell, even in the kitchen. I guess the patron was alright, just deeply embarrassed at a very poorly timed accident. Although it had no reflection on the food, presumably, none of us had much of an appetite for anything for a while, after that, though. IP: Logged |
