My band had a great practice on Monday and was mistaken for another local band by a practice-space-building-grifter who left us a note. The bass player in a local band wore a Spider-Man mask onstage on Sunday and said he was Spider-Man. That made me laugh. And I learned how to play the theme song to Fat Albert on the bass over the weekend. Rok.

Congratulations, stinky! You have joined the ranks of the edumacated elite! We must sit down and discuss the socio-economic ramifications of the rise of steam power in the 19th century over a bottle of Château Greysac Médoc sometime!

A good thing that happened to me recently...I met these three kick-ass cats who help me forget that I had to leave mine back in Portland when I moved...

Here's an interesting story.
I received a small stuffed lion from Dreyfus Financial awhile back. (The lion is their biz mascot)
Every day for the past week or so, my roommate, or I, or both of us, find the lion sitting in front of the door. Each time, the lion is placed back on my bed. We have yet to witness exactly how the lion gets from my room to the front door. We are assuming that one of the cats is doing it, but we don't know which one, or, more importantly, why it is happening. This has been of great importance in the house, and has superceded all other things in our lives. My roommate just called me at work to tell me that the lion is in front of the door again. She moved it back to my bed. She'll stay home and observe until quarter to 12. When the other roommate comes home for lunch, he'll take over watch. There will be a 4 hour window when no one is home to monitor. I'm sure it will happen again at that time.
Truly fascinating.

After receiving poor customer service from every establishment I've been in for the last couple of weeks, and over then phone with insurance people, I finally received EXCELLENT customer service from the guys at Twin Town. Sure, I'm bummed that I have to spend money to repair an amp, but those guys down there are consistantly kind, non-condescending, and professional.

I also have a great time practicing with the Kontrol Panel. They're fun and professional too.

I also got together with some guys to play music and it rawked. I'm excited about that.

I got a small year-end bonus at work even though they've laid people off this year. This will go to pay for my amp and also a winter jacket for my wifey so she ain't could no more.

Good good good stuff!

That's a great story V77

I have had recent similar events taking place in my home.

As of late, when I climb into bed, I have found various objects in my bed: Socks, empty toilet paper rolls, pens, hair clips, cotton balls, wash cloths, bracelets, even a slice of potato, and the most damning of evidence, CAT TOYS.

Seems my little angel Josie has taken to hoarding things in my bed. Every night is a new discovery of what presents she's left for me.

Who said cats don't care enough to give the very best?

Okay bact to the original topic:
I found money on the ground the other day ( a whole whopping $2, but hey how often do you find money on the ground?)

I still have my job after they let some people go this week

I have this Friday off

I bowled my best ever series on Monday I averaged 160 all three games.

There isn't 3 feet of snow on the ground and it's not brutally cold out yet.

Right now, the scientists in my office are doing their best James Brown impersonations.

I'm trying really really hard not to laugh in their faces...

I went by a camera/video store downtown to pick up an 8mm home movie transfer to VHS to take with me at Xmas. I'd dropped the job off on 23 November & when I called Monday they said it was in! I was so excited...I rushed down & we discovered they'd never sent the movie out!! HORRORS! This is their very busy season for this type of job but the salesperson told the video transfer guy it would be a RUSH job; she apologized profusely & spoke to her manager & they're giving me 50% off the cost of the transfer too! I'm not even a regular customer or anything but such service could make meone!

Yeah, you don't know a party until you see a bunch of dorky wildlife biologists scream "Ha! Sex machine! Get down!"

I just looked at a KICKASS taxidermied box turtle that was sitting on a coworkers desk - not exactly sure why it was there...

But, it started off a conversation about natural relics and a weekend bookmaking class at the Bell Museum. Oh, man...I'm drooling...it includes a behind-the-scenes tour of the Bell's fish and bird specimen collection and their dioramas where the class participants practice their scientific illustrations. Think I'm going to register.

Yesterday, as I was unpacking boxes in my new place, I came across a series of paintings my friend did when we both lived in Phoenix in '91. I had repeatedly asked said friend for some of his work, but because of time passing, divergent paths and unforeseen circumstances, it never happened.

I don't know how I came into possesion of these pieces. I have moved (or been moved)innumerable times since then and don't ever remember seeing them.

So, not only do I have a bit of my lost friend with me, they match my irridescent lavender walls perfectly! Funny thing is, I had had him on my mind when I chose the color.

Here's mine.
In Jan. 2001 (starts out bad but got better)
Filed for divorce (emotional abuse and verbal abuse after I filed)
One month later laid off for 8 months
Recovering from depression/anxiety
No home, lived with parents
Found out who's the real friends (lost 2 cuz I didn't confine in them)
Couldn't get my furnitures back after 1 year

Now here's the best part!! Right now!
Landed in a job (over a year)
Divorced and happy (ex is now calm)
New home since Sept.
Heirloom furnitures back
My boy
No more depression/anxiety (self-esteem is growing stronger)
Found new and old friends from this site, TCPunk!

And it's getting better!!

I just remembered that tomorrow I'll get to see The Whip for the first time. From what I understand, The Whip is basically Karp, except with Joe Preston (Thrones, Melvins) as their bassist.
