We played for a benefit there this summer, cleaned before and after, provided food, policed the few, small fights outside. I thought it went well and was glad I had the opportunity to play there, such a great space. Another reason I think local bands wanted to play there was because there are so few all age venues in this town. Glad to hear the Eclipse is going to be back in the game.

just cause i haven't mailordered anything from doesn't mean i don't have anything. i have the reynols 7" and the vibracathedral orchestra 7". please don't play me off like you know what i'm into because you've seen two bands i play in. i just can't appreciete anything where the people are just fucking around with pedals and feedback on stage, it's boring and annoying. i don't like boring rock bands either. anyways i'm not going to get into what i like and dislike about music.

I do deeply though disagree with you nate about the payments. I mean, the double booking deal that i was whining about before? i HAD that date booked myself for Love Life and Susan did the exact same thing with you that she did with this very last show. You wrote me beforehand which was cool, but i just didn't want to deal with it and her and just wanted LL on the bill and my part was done. I did nothing else to fuck with that.

But dude, Rick definately got money, it was just like $13, that's all that was in the hat at the end of the night.

the lovelife show was fine in the end, just annoying.

yes i understand that no one showed up to the sursumcorda show that night. yeah we sucked, but that show sucked. neon hunk sucked there too IMO even though i've enjoyed them every other time i saw them. but we did get screwed the night we played in your basement. lots of people paid and if you didn't take the money, someone else at your house did. considering all the shit that's happened with my dealings with you i think my reaction to the thread you started, indirectly pointed at me and any other rock band who has set up a show since 10/1, was warranted. it was a bad idea to rip on the local shit you've put on there, so sorry. i don't have much webboard tact. i've always gotten along with you just fine in person and i've liked almost all the touring stuff you've brought here. if you haven't noticed, i go to a lot of the fucking shows you put on and have been going to them long before the church got out of hand.

anytime we have to have anything to do with eachother we should just get together because this internet shit is LAME.

Im reading and learning of all thats happened just now and I say NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! ing sad! But i have hope for the future. I only went to one show at the Church. The subzero afterparty last january. And I fell in love. There IS UNDENIABLE MAGIC in that space. And who ever was taking that for granted and messing stuff up, damn you!.
I allways wanted to but I never went back. And now I can't. The people living there were nice to me and on guy (Nate i think?)wanted me to stay around, but my friend was freaked out and didn't want to hang out. But me, I felt like I belonged there. A beutifull painters studio in a geodesic church. Ahhhh so sweet. Thanks for existing Matt and Susan and whoever else truly loved that room. I just wish I could have been there more. .

Anyway, I know of a place that just might be the next great thing. This is directed twords Matt since you say a new venue is in the works. Have you ever been in the warehouse neighboorhood near the genaral mills plant in northeast? Ya know, on Quincy street? Well you know that glass blowing studio? Go upstairs from that and walk to the end of the hall and open the last door on your right. It opens up into this Alice in wonderland like space that looks like a soap factory exibition. I dont know how much it is leasing for but IT WOULD BE the ultimate weird/different/interesting show venue. There is even space for a foodbar (or whatever). It's kinda dingy and raw but I like it and would vollunteer to help set it up a little better. If anyone is interested, lets set up a fund raiser or whatever needs to happen to get it. Just a sugjestion. I don't know.
